The Hell of Hunterdon is the Mid-Atlantic’s Premier Spring Classic & Mixed Surface Ride; it is the ideal way to open your cycling season. The courses wind their way through scenic farmland and country towns in New Jersey’s Sourland Region.

We are offering 2 Official Course Lengths- the courses have been modified due to the affects of Hurricane Ida (2 bridges on our former route are still out)
- The Long Course is 73 miles long with 13 dirt, gravel, and hardscrabble sectors, (17% of the course). This course has 2 Aid Stations.
- The Medium Course is 50 Miles long with 8 unpaved sectors (14% of the course). This course has 1 Aid Station
The ride is followed by a Post Ride Celebration that includes hot food, cold drinks, and door prizes in a festive indoor/outdoor environment.

“As one of the Belgian riders I really enjoyed participating in the Hell of Hunterdon. It was and epic ride that, due to the cold and rainy weather conditions, truly evoked the spirit of the Flanders’ Classic. It was a pleasure as well as an honor to participate in this ride, the day before our idol Tom Boonen won the Ronde van Vlaanderen.”
“I really enjoyed the HoH event. You guys did a fantastic job! Odd as it might sound, I especially liked the markings on the course. Unlike so many other events, where the markings are on the roadway, the HoH yellow markers were easy to see and follow even without a cue sheet. I wish every event was marked in similar fashion and run as well as HoH. Finally, what a lovely course! The combination of gravel and road riding was both challenging and quite beautiful! This was one of the best events I’ve ever participated in and I already look forward to next year! Thank you for all your efforts in putting this together. A tip of the chapeau to all of you!”
